Pharmacy Upgrade - A note to our patients:
Firstly we would like to say a massive THANK YOU to all our patients for choosing  Charing Pharmacy to fulfil their prescriptions.  We recognise that over the past couple of months our level of service has fallen below what we would normally expect to provide.  We have been affected by the repeated failure of our current robot which has led to stock management issues and delays in fulfilling prescriptions.  We do recognise how frustrating this has been for everyone so please accept our sincere apologies for any delays you have experienced.

The good news…. We are investing in a new robot and in completely refurbishing the pharmacy.  The new robot will be able to hold significantly more stock and dispense significantly faster than our current robot. We will be installing 2 till points to reduce queues and to reduce waiting times. Electronic screens will allow fast ordering of over the counter medicines and during 2019 we will be installing a 24 hour pick up point, the first to be installed in the UK,  to allow prescriptions to be collected at any time of the day or week.

The pharmacy refurbishments will begin in January and take 2 months. To ensure this impacts our patients as little as possible, all repeat prescriptions collected in December 2018 will be issued for 3 months so that future repeats will not need to be collected until after the completion of the work in March 2019.

The pharmacy will be open and continue to operate as normal during the refurbishment and continue to fulfil prescriptions as well as operating a shop with over the counter medications.

Thank you for your loyalty and custom.

GP Online Service:
Patients registered with Charing Surgery can now book some appointments and request repeat prescriptions, by using ‘GP online services’ which can be accessed on smartphones or from any PC at a time convenient to patients.  This service works alongside traditional methods of accessing services, it does not replace them. To register for GP online services, including booking blood tests on line and ordering repeat medication, please drop in to the surgery and ask us to register you for Patient Online Access.
