Health Coach

Charing Practice and Ashford Rural PCN have now partnered with a health coach to provide a FREE 10-week couch to a 5km guided programme. Alongside the physical jogging, there will be lots of health promotion advice and encouragement. It starts in January and any patients with the following can come along to the programme :

Low fitness/activity, weight loss, pre-diabetes, diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), menopausal symptoms, anxiety or depression, loneliness, postnatal deconditioning, improving fitness prior to planned surgery, unhealthy habits around alcohol or other substances, other conditions where exercise would benefit me (your health coach will be in touch to discuss).

We are a Parkrun Practice

We have Partnered with Ashford 5km Parkrun which is FREE and held every Saturday at 9am in Victoria Park, Jemmett Road, Ashford TN23 4QD.

Proud to be a park run practice

Why not either walk, jog or run and see your fitness improve as your time shortens over the weeks. Or if you’d like to volunteer they are always keen for helpers. Victoria Park Cafe is right there for a recovery coffee – it’s a good way to meet new people. You may bump into some of the Practice team too!

Meet by the café/nursery 10 minutes before it starts and you need to register in advance on their website which also gives lots more information.

Cycle to the Surgery/Pharmacy

Cycling is a good form of exercise and is more environmentally friendly than driving, so why not cycle to us? There are bike racks (near the exit) that you can lock your bike to
